Making Advances in Energy Storage

Michigan’s unique geology allows us to buy natural gas in bulk during the summer when prices are low. Then we'll store it until you need it. When it gets cold, we tap into the stored gas and pass the savings to you.

Use of Renewable Resources

The slow transition outlined in our Clean Energy Plan creates price stability and will save customers more than $600 million through 2040. Most of the savings come from reduced capital expenses from proposed changes to our resource mix. This includes the elimination of coal as a fuel source.
